Since its inception, Downshallow has been spreading their music to all who are willing to openly listen... a fair and square chance to impress is all that's asked.

One of the most prominent bands to come out of the NY/NJ area in recent years, Downshallow delivers a brand of hard alt/rock, in which melody and energy are tightly bonded. A union of lyrical imagery, expressive dynamics and solid grooves, Downshallow's music has garnered attention through shows, the internet, and the traditional "word-of mouth", playing at legendary clubs like CBGB's & Stone Pony, as well as touring the Northeast U.S., focusing on breeding new life into the rock scenes of such major cities as New York, Philadelphia & the New England area and reaching as far out west as California's Pacific Coast.

With the release of their first full length CD/DVD entitled So Many Wants, So Little Compromise, Downshallow unloaded a dynamic product in hand to complement their already explosive live shows.

Last year's acoustic EP, Good Friend Electric, was a collection of acoustic songs showcasing an array of influences from Spanish style guitar and jazz to 60's pop and film scores...a glimpse at a rock band with more to offer than just another simple rock song. 2007 also saw the re-release of an early Downshallow self-titled EP, which had only been available in limited number.

What the future holds...Downshallow will spend most of this summer holed up in the studio working on their second full length album.
